Below is a parts guide to help in selecting the correct components for your unique configuration.
Note that all configurations must include both a socket and ball part, which are joined by a common centre nut.
The common nut is included with all socket side parts.
 
Pump and Pipe don't line up exactly?
In addition to the impressive range of configurations available and its quick release capability, the Hansen Knuckle Union has the added benefit of a 9 degree 'knuckle' movement, providing greater flexibility at installation time. Now you don't have to worry if your pipe work doesn't line up exactly with your pump, the flexible Hansen Knuckle Union takes care of that for you!
 
FEATURES & APPLICATIONS
  • Pump can easily be removed or installed from system for servicing by undoing common nut.
  • Pump can be misaligned from pipe work by a total of 9 degrees.
  • Fits into the extensive range of HANSEN Polythene Pipe Fittings.
  • Cold fit - Fast fix - No heating of pipe required.
  • As with all HANSEN fittings the Knuckle Union is manufactured from the best quality materials available. Body and Nuts Highest Quality Glass Fibre Reinforced Nylon, O-ring Nitrile Rubber, Ring Stainless Steel.
  • Manufactured from materials approved for use with potable (drinkable) water.
  • All pipe work must be adequately supported.
  • Maximum Working Pressure; 10 Bar (1000 kPa. 145 PSI) @ 20°C.
  • Manufactured for use with New Zealand Low Density Polythene Pipe LDPE (to NZS 7601), EnduroFlex2, Australian rural (Class B), Irish imperial polythene pipes and a variety of suction and soft hoses for general use, (including wash down hose and non toxic tube).
  • Suitable for many types of fluid. See Technical Specifications section.
  • Use a thread sealant on all threaded connections.
  • Hansen have tested all its products for use with cold water up to a maximum temperature of 60°C (140°F). We do not recommend the use of these products with temperatures higher than 60°C (140°F) as plastic expands due to temperature increases. Hansen cannot guarantee the products will perform when used with temperatures over 60°C (140°F). Hansen products that have failed in temperatures higher than 60°C (140°F) will not be covered by warranty.
